The final document came today. Everything else has led up to this. I finally have my Nevada BLM Cultural Resource Use Permit allowing me to record sites across the state that are prehistoric or historic. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I've been talking to clients with the expectation that the permit would be issued soon but the days kept piling up. Only a small part of me thought that the permit would not be issued because of some small technicality that I wouldn't be able to overcome. Luckily, that was not the case.
Now, a new weight has been placed on my shoulders - one that will likely not go away for a very long time. I have to hit the pavement and really start putting myself out there. Next week will be spent on the road full time driving from office to office telling potential clients how awesome I am. I've got to find work soon - there are some good people out of work and I'd like to get them back in the field.
Thanks for reading and I'll see you on one of my projects!
